RMF Posted 2 December , 2003 Share Posted 2 December , 2003 Does anyone know why so many of the Medal Cards have the sections relating to Theatre of War Served In and Date of Entry Therein left blank? In that the service records of the all soldiers were available at the time the cards were prepared, what is the reason for the omission? If the omission is perhaps traceable to the lack of the same information on the Medal Rolls, why is the information missing on the Medal Rolls? Michael Posted 2 December , 2003 Share Posted 2 December , 2003 RMF Only those soldiers that qualified for the 1914 or 1914/15 stars will have the date and theatre appended. Officers are an exception and a lot of them will have date and theatre regardless of when they went overseas. Michael
