Lost in Tilloy Posted 3 February , 2007 Share Posted 3 February , 2007 Hi I'm currently researcing Lt William Samuel Spence who was KIA 26/04/1917 whilst serving with 16th Squadron RFC. I have his records from the NA and I noted that he served with 64 Sqdn and 83 Sqdn between July 1916 and Mar 1917. He was wounded and at home between 25/09/1916 and 3/12/1916 and was eventually transferred to 16th Sqdn on 31/03/1917. Can anyone give me a basic summary of the whereabouts of 64 [July/Aug 1916] & 83 Sqdn [Dec 1916 to Mar 1917]. I did look at one RFC site which stated that 64 Sqdn was raised in June 1917 which obviously contradicts what I've seen on William Spence's records. Any help appreciated.
