His details below are from CWGC. (While they say his rank was Colour Sergeant, his grave says he was a Regiment Sargeant Major and was late of the Nigerian Regiment as well as the KLSI). I found the bit in the London Gazette online (explaining why he'd received it) and medal card (along with a 2nd medal card for other medals).
