According to The Times, a Francis Brian Pelly, son of Canon Arnold Pelly, married a Edith Beatrice Packe on 3 June 1913 in All Saints Church, Feering. That same year, an F.B. pelly played hockey for Essex County vs Cambridge University and Essex vs Surrey. His hockey club was West Ham. In 1935, a Mr F.B. Pelly was noted as being general secretary of the Shaftesbury Homes and Arethusa Training Ship Society. In 1939, a Mr F.B. Pelly was present at a gathering of the Old Shirburnian Society. In 1946, there was an engagement notice for Michael Brian Pelly. son of F.B. Pelly and Mrs Pelly of Feering Croft, Stanmore.

Don't know whether these are the same as your man, or indeed the same man all the way through. No mention of an AFC after his name, so may be red herring!

Regards,

Dom

I'm assuming you already know this but in case you don't, his AFC and pair are currently for sale on ebay, finishing quite soon.
