Hayley, here's a little info on the Middlesex 29th, 30th and 31st (Works) Battalions;

Formed at Mill Hill in June 1916 (29th); Crawley in July 1916 (30th) and Mill Hill in September 1916 (31st). In April 1917, 29th transferred to Labour Corps, as 5th Labour Bn. All remained in UK throughout the war.

A(rmy) O(rder) 265/14. There is a previous post that relates to AO 265/17, it may be of some help.

list L.C 1031, relates to a Silver War Badge entitlement,

we're getting there :D Jon
