eltoro1960 Posted 17 January , 2007 Share Posted 17 January , 2007 Came across this man this evening whilst searching TNA, it appears to be a power of attorney or a will can anyone decipher it all. There was a John Herbert listed as an absent voter in 1920. I don't really have much ide of seaching RNR records so any help appreciated. Thanks FILE - [no title or date] - ref. DaveBrigg Posted 17 January , 2007 Share Posted 17 January , 2007 Couldn't the 'Witd' mean 'witnessed' - in other words your man Herbert was a witness for this legal document, possibly chosen because of his rank?
eltoro1960 Posted 17 January , 2007 Author Share Posted 17 January , 2007 Thanks for that it certainly makes sense, I supposed he would maybe have been asked to do it whilst stationed in Cornwall. Cheers
