per ardua per mare per terram Posted 17 January , 2007 Share Posted 17 January , 2007 RNAS ratings were regarded as a branch of the Royal Navy, so their service registers are available (£3.50 fee) from the documents online service from the National Archives at Kew. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...amp;queryType=1 The RAF records of service are not online so you'll have to come and get them or have someone copy them for you. RNAS service numbers usually start with F and then the official number. The match for the number you have is Name Lunan, George, Official Number: F19669 ,Place of Birth: Camberwell, London, Date of Birth: 21 August 1884 The closest match I saw was Name Randall, Robert Daniel, Official Number: F19224, Place of Birth: Barnet, Hertfordshire, Date of Birth: 05 March 1886 http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...p;resultcount=
