jay dubaya Posted 16 January , 2007 Share Posted 16 January , 2007 This man was wounded out of the army, and I believe this to be his reference for a Silver War / Wound Badge Kings Regulation 392 (xvi) No longer physically fit for service. See here for help reading MICs, I'd go along with Training Reserve / London Regt.

Stebie9173 Posted 16 January , 2007 Share Posted 16 January , 2007 He has a Training Battalion number and was invalided due to Sickness (denoted by the "S"). It is likely that he did not serve overseas. The Medal Roll at the National Archives (to which the List references refers) should have a Y/N column for "Served overseas?". It may also give further detail regarding his illness. Steve.
