Steve Bramley Posted 24 November , 2003 Share Posted 24 November , 2003 While looking through a section of SDGW in the local library, i noticed that after a battle as well as the died of wounds there were also eight men died over a period of seven days, three on the same day. What does died in the SDGW context mean, would i be right in guessing, natural causes or accident? Is it unusual to have this many men died in a short period of time? In the last extract i looked at i think there were only three during a sixteen month period and two of those were at home before the Bn. had left Britain. The recent examples all died France and Flanders. Yours, Steve.
Will O'Brien Posted 24 November , 2003 Share Posted 24 November , 2003 Steve Died usually mean not died of wounds or killed in action. In my experience in researching casualties it is usually due to illness or accidental death.
