David_Blanchard Posted 23 November , 2003 Posted 23 November , 2003 Read an interview in this months Mojo Music Magazine concerning Billy Childish and his band 'The Buff Medways', their last album was called 'Steady the Buffs', the album cover featuring a group portrait of the Buffs in first war kit. Their new album is called '1914' all the band are in first war kit again. This fascination was not explained in the interview. So the question is, what's with Great War angle, Billy?

trenchwalker Posted 23 November , 2003 Posted 23 November , 2003 BILLY is a member of the great war society that would probily anwser to most to it.
Charles Fair Posted 24 November , 2003 Posted 24 November , 2003 I definitely have to check out the new album (and its predecessor). It got a 3 out of 5 in Q, and 4 of 5 in Kerrang! It sounds like my kind of music. I like his comment "there's no progression at all from the last record".
