Terry Posted 23 November , 2003 Share Posted 23 November , 2003 I just noticed that a pair of medals (war & victory) to an NCO in the 15th Royal Scots KIA on July 1st,1916, did not reach its reserve at 285 pounds on ebay. That is nearly $500 US. Just how much do First Day on the Somme pairs to casualties go for? Five hundred bucks seems a bit steep.
ttd0 Posted 23 November , 2003 Share Posted 23 November , 2003 Have recently seen a British War Medal with a Buy It Now price of £100 for a 1/7/16 casualty (can't remeber which unit). Medals to 1/7/16 casualties have been steadily going through the roof. Tim
Alan Lines Posted 23 November , 2003 Share Posted 23 November , 2003 Terry As a rough guide singles from 80 pounds upwards. Pairs from 200. Death Plaques very rarely sell for less than 100. And if anyone can tell me how to stop my pound signs looking like # and @ and " being the wrong way round I would be eternally grateful!
