My uncle served until March 1930 and re-enlisted for WW2, yet this record only shows up to Nov 1927. Could the note 'See Folio 236 823' be the continuation, and if so has anyone any ideas as to how I can access it?

Also can some kind soul explain the bumf at the bottom under the headings 'Clothing and Bedding Gratuities' and 'Remarks'?

Many thanks

Andy

His later records would still be held by HMS Centurion{or the MoD Records Office:RN Records~see Long Trail for addresses}not yet released to the Public domain,NoK can obtain record details provided they can prove direct kinship, but I do believe they charge quite highly these days.

Hi Andy,

Bedding.-The date of the gratuitous supply of a set of bedding or of the last bedding gratuity is to be noted on the certificates of non-continuous service men.

Thanks all very much for your help.

I tried to attach his service record, but it was too large. Not sure how to shrink it...and I didn't realise I had actually posted the message.

Whoops

Andy
