tamos123 Posted 22 November , 2003 Share Posted 22 November , 2003 Hi Wonder if any one can help or point me in the right direction. I am trying to find out how the overall Great War casualty rates for Britain and Empire break back year on year? Even better if I could break it back by Army, Navy and by theatre regards Nick
Matt Dixon Posted 22 November , 2003 Share Posted 22 November , 2003 Have you considered typing simply the years into the Soldiers Died database and seeing how many it comes up with? Bear it mind it might take a very long time to load!
Joe Sweeney Posted 22 November , 2003 Share Posted 22 November , 2003 Nick, Get a hold of a copy of the: "Statistics of the Military Effort of the British Empire during the Great War". Naval and Military Press have reprinted this massive volume. It is expensive so try library loan. It has everything your looking for and to an even greater detail than you are asking for..
