egbert Posted 10 December , 2006 Share Posted 10 December , 2006 There was an allied aerodrome near the village of Tigny 1917. I cannot find a location called Tigny nowadays. Does anybody know how the village/town is called today?

Does anybody know how the village/town is called today? Hmm! I don't know for sure, but probably you need to look on a map for Tigny-Noyelle? Its somewhere East of Lille, on a horizontal line ! Frank_East Posted 11 December , 2006 Share Posted 11 December , 2006 There is a village by the name of Tigny,5 kms south of Soissons on the now D1. I cannot link an airfield to this location although as I see it the location would be close to the front. There is a Tigny-Noyelle just off the A 16 travelling south to Abbeville. No linkage to an airfield as yet.

egbert Posted 12 December , 2006 Author Share Posted 12 December , 2006 I can't find the aerodrome!!! I strongly suggest the aerodrome to be located between Vierzy and Tigny, but the road pattern does not match anything close to todays pattern:
