CarylW Posted 2 December , 2006 Share Posted 2 December , 2006 Is it me? How do you narrow down the search at Amazon to just bring up World War 1 books?. I've tried "WW1" - this brings up three pages "World War One" brings up many more interesting WW1 books not showing in the first search but also WW2 books, and a couple of other wars besides I've just trawled through 39 pages and will look at the rest some other time Found some interesting titles that I might order but not many of them have reviews Some have been reviewed here on the forum which is useful but... For example this book: Hell, the Humour and the Heartbreak: Private's View of World War One (Paperback) by Bert Bishop (Author) 1 used & new available from £134.71 No review! Now if I was going to pay this much (I'm not personally but I'm assuming it's rare?) I would like to read a review of it first Googling doesn't reveal much about this particular book. CarylW Posted 3 December , 2006 Author Share Posted 3 December , 2006 hi Caryl, you could buy this one Jon Thanks Jon, I might just do that very thing I'm intrigued now with it costing so much on Amazon (unless it's typo!) Caryl
IanA Posted 3 December , 2006 Share Posted 3 December , 2006 Hi Caryl, re Amazon. Click on the books tab then move to the category list at the left hand side and click on Military History. You can then narrow it down further by clicking on WW1. This brings up nearly 4,000 titles. Enough to keep you amused for a while. Cheers, Ian
CarylW Posted 3 December , 2006 Author Share Posted 3 December , 2006 Cheers Ian That does help I'm looking for a WW1 book that I once read and I can't remember the title or author Some of the books listed look as if they might be 'the one' but without a review I'm not sure I might find it in the end Caryl
