museumtom Posted 2 December , 2006 Share Posted 2 December , 2006 Hi Guys and Gals I was on my way to a Militaria fair this morning in the Teachers Club in Mountjoy Square, Dublin when I was passing a large bookshop in Parnell Street opposite the Jervis Centre. I browsed the front window and seen 'Blindfold and Alone' on special offer for 6.99 euro. Lickety split I went in a bought myself a copy. There were loads of them and they were marked on the back.....£26....thats sterling not euro. Now then hows that for a bargain? A bargain for the Dublin pals. The fair was ok but I did not buy anything. There were no death plaques for sale either. Regards. Tom.
Dikke Bertha Posted 7 December , 2006 Share Posted 7 December , 2006 Opposite the ILAC Centre to be precise. This is the new shop for Chapters Bookshop which will be moving soon from Middle Abbey Street. The new premises is truly wonderful and well worth regular visits. They have an extensive military and history sections and have taken some of my money already. Bookworms also in Middle Abbey Street are also worth a regaular visit. Dublin used to be great place for bookshops but now there are very few.
Andrew Hesketh Posted 7 December , 2006 Share Posted 7 December , 2006 Thanks Tom. I'm hoping to be over in Dublin late December / early January. I'll add that to my list of places to go!
