there are a lot of code numbers. Would anyone have any idear what they mean?

h/1/4 1b 37 are both references to the medal rolls

Also elligible for the Silver War Badge which is recorded on SWB Officers' Roll page 666.

Of all the notes in the remarks section only the Comm 25.6.16 means anything useful, commissioned on that date.

The other three notes were made by the record office or medal office and have no useful meaning to us now.

Hi

Lt DF Hunter was commission in to the 6th Batt, did he srvire with the 2/6th Batt, as thy had a Lt DF Hunter, he signed for his medals on:

1915 Star 1923.

BWM & VM 18th Jan 1922.

SWB as on the MIC but in the roll his address is Edgemoor, Hale, Altrincham, Cheshire. Badge No 341698.
