Is this an arms fair? ...farmers' market? (sorry, that's an anti-French sarcasm). I'll be over there that weekend, and its always good to find something to do on a Sunday, apart from trailing cemeteries.

Yes, it is an militaria fair or "Bourses aux Armes" as they say in France. It is always a good one to visit but prices are cranked up a bit compared to other French fairs due to the large influx of British buyers. And in recent years the number of UK sellers has increased dramatically - don't expect too many bargains or rareties - any scarce items will be snapped up by dealer to dealer exchanges well before Johnny Public gets in!

Most Sunday's in France you will also find the odd bootsale in the Somme area - but get there early and again don't expect any rare finds. Dominique at Le Tommy also runs a (very) small market on a Saturday afternoon through much of the year.
