Desmond7 Posted 22 November , 2006 Share Posted 22 November , 2006 CWGC has this man as 'Portglenone, Belfast' - not an uncommon mistake. Portglenone is in the Ballymena district (a village about nine miles to the west of the main town). Can someone do a SDGW effort on this for a wee bit more detail? Have included paper cutting at bottom. Going through my files for one last 'scrounge' ! John_Hartley Posted 22 November , 2006 Share Posted 22 November , 2006 Your wish, Master, blah, blah..... Born Manchester Enlisted Salford. Glad to have been of service. At which point you now need either Forum member Drummy or Rodge Dowson, co-authors of "Hell Let Loose", the Battalion history. If there's owt more worth knowing, Neil or Rodge will know it.
