Matt Dixon Posted 16 November , 2003 Share Posted 16 November , 2003 I am trying to find any information about this home. I have emailed the Wicklow history society with no joy. One of the men I am researching was married to the woman who ran it. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some info?

Matt Dixon Posted 16 November , 2003 Author Share Posted 16 November , 2003 I don't know exactly but I think it was in Bray. Does that help?
Conor Dodd Posted 16 November , 2003 Share Posted 16 November , 2003 Yeah all my family on the Dodd side came from Bray do you want me to find out about it ??? The Earl of Meath was very invovled with recruting training etc. during the First World War I never heard of the hospital but it was most probably on his ground which at the time was most of Bray. There was 2 convalescent hospitals in Bray at the time one which is now a school and te other a hotel. Cheers Conor
Matt Dixon Posted 16 November , 2003 Author Share Posted 16 November , 2003 Anything you could find out would be great. The chaps name was Capt. Harry Godfrey Massy-Miles MC of the Post Office Rifles. He married Charlotte Elizabeth of the Meath Convalescent Home in 1910. I'm afraid it's not much to go on, but that's all I have at the moment about him! Cheers mate
