I am interested in the 55 squadron as my dad was in this squadron and was awarded the DFM on 21st September 1918. I have photoraphs of the observers of the Squadron and a photograph of my dad wearing a RFC observer badge standing next to another air man who i have no idea who he is. I also have a book all about the 55 squadron and it contains all the bombing raids and names of the pilots and observers that took part. I am trying to find out how many DFM were awarded in the 1914-1918 war upto now i have had no luck.
