Remembered Today:

Garrison Officer Cadet Battalion

Recommended Posts

On the website 'Training Tommy for War' the location of the 'Garrison' Officer Cadet Battalion is given as Jesus College, Oxford. However, my uncle's papers at TNA, Kew, show 'Cambridge'. Can anyone throw more light on this?

Maybe in describing your uncle's OCB someone at the time assumed that there was a Garrison OCB at Cambridge as well as Oxford ! From the listing at Training Tommy for War it is obviously only one Garrison, but Nos 2 and 5 were sited at Cambridge and Nos 4,6 and Garrison at Oxford.

Scanning through Google searches didn't turn up a Cambridge Garrison either !

Best wishes
