Perhaps, 'Vicar'. ;)

Well, I got it

Rainbow House

as in 'Somme where over the Rainbow'

So was the previous owner a 'Friend of Dorothy'?

Still vexed. Another thought was Whizzbang villa as I believe divisional entertainment by that name first performed in Bray. Again vetoed by the Mrs. Somehow no matter what my thoughts and you pals think, I feel the deciding vote will be cast by the rational and cool thinking half of my family...

Maison d'Aliénés (lunatic asylum, mental hospital, madhouse)

Well stand by for:

The Laurels. Rose Cottage, DunRoamin, The White cottage or 93 Arcadia Avenue. Like Polyfila though!

Cheers,

Rob ;)

Go for something different. Some WW1 slang, or similiar.

I called my house Fosse as it is number 8 and we are interested in the battle of Loos....................The other name for fosse 8 is of course The Dump. Painfully appropriate at times with 2 lads who think that the floor is the repository for clothes, bath towels cricket kit etc!

My last house was called Windy Corner again tying in with the WW1 theme but appropriate at times for other reasons.............

How about Bronfay for yours? Or Vale House which tie in with cemeteries in the area?

Why not name individual rooms first, and await inspiration for the whole? Thus, the kitchen can become the cookhouse; the hallway can be the communication trench; upstairs first left to the latrine, where you will also find the divisional baths.
