Take on me Posted 7 November , 2006 Share Posted 7 November , 2006 I have heard that it is an interesting assessment of the war and Strachan is a good historian. If you are looking for a one volume history then Stevenson's 1914-1918 is the book that comes with the highest recommendation. I am currently reading it and I have not been disappointed so far.
