The military camp of Beverloo (Leopolsburg) was already in use by the Belgian army before 1914

Hello Wouter,

Not all soldiers went to Beverloo, there were other camps.

I doubt anyone's going to return on this topic by now but it did come up on google so for others who find it that way here's some more. Bevloon military camp as it was during The Great War from a soldier's view who is living and training there. Feldposts from Bevloon "of" Bevloon.

If the Beverloo Camp is just north at Bourg-Léopold, then here is a map from TrenchMapper showing its extent. It looks quite large.

Yes, this was a large camp,

Also used by the Germans in WW1 and WW2

Totally destroyed in WW2 so the camp today has none of the original buildings. It's used by the Belgium military as a training camp still apparently although not the same, just roughly the same area.
