(Cork) Age: 62 Date of Death: 01/04/1915 Service No: 92016 Additional information: Son of the late John and Eliza Glover; husband of Martha Jane Glover (nee Craven, now Maudsley), of 81, Woodlands Road, Ilford, Essex. Born at Portsmouth. Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: M. 49. Michael Lowrey Posted 31 October , 2006 Share Posted 31 October , 2006 Seven Seas, a steamer of 1194 grt built in 1888, was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U 37 6 miles south of Beachy Head on Apreil 1, 1915 while on a voyage from London to Liverpool while in ballast.
