SMG65 Posted 28 October , 2006 Share Posted 28 October , 2006 Just read 'Tommy Goes To War' by Malcolm Brown over three days whilst on holiday in Italy. If you know anyone who has just began getting interested in the Great War or anyone whose views have been tainted by the writings of ignorant and sensationalist journalists who will only write Great War articles if they can include the word 'disaster', then this is the book to buy them for Christmas or Birthdays as it will give them a balanced view of the war from the mouths of those who fought. A brilliant book. Sean
Pettsy Posted 30 October , 2006 Share Posted 30 October , 2006 My Husband had bought me this book for Christmas, and also WW1 & WW2 True Ghost Stories. I am now asking for BROTHERS AT WAR (WW2) I cannot wait to read Tommy Goes to War and nor can my son. La Pettsy
