chaz Posted 25 October , 2006 Share Posted 25 October , 2006 top line states he was in the 'Corps' Royal Field Artillery (abbreviated RFA) 'Rank' gunner Service number 213893 below that his medal entitlement. Victory ( the gold coloured one) following this the Roll index and page number British , (silver one being British war medal ), do ( short for ditto), following this the Roll index and page number this then tells you that if you go to the National Archives at Kew, you can access the RFA medal Rolls with page number for any details they have.
