IODE medals and other ephemera relating to CEF shell shock and militar

Please find below an image of a 1914 IODE (CANADIAN) medal/badge. The Imperial Order of Daughters of the Empire was founded during the South African War in Canada and continues to this day. If anyone has any more specific informaiton on the BRANCHES, CHAPTERS, COMMITTEES, or INDIVIDUALS who assisted in caring for or simply assisting shell shocked CEF soldiers during or after the war please let me and the list know this.

I know that at least 1 or 2 IODE branches had hospital visiting committees.
