Dragon Posted 20 October , 2006 Share Posted 20 October , 2006 The Mary Evans Picture Library has recently loaded some new images. From their newsletter: A series of stereo photograph cards of World War One is one of the recent additions to our website. The cards were originally made for viewing through a stereoscope which optically merged the two identical photographs into one 3D image. They are a powerful record of the times, and complement our other material documenting the First World War. Visit here. Perhaps they will be of interest to forum users. spike10764 Posted 20 October , 2006 Share Posted 20 October , 2006 Good quality pictures for ones taken such a long time ago, Gwyn. Were the Sikh soldiers still on the Western front in 1917 ? ( I don't honestly know, but never thought they were). Maybe it isn't the Western Front, I don't know but the trenches look of a much earlier variety.
