Braithwaite Posted 16 October , 2006 Share Posted 16 October , 2006 I'm looking for information about a very elusive young woman whose address in 1918 is given as Miss Lucy Milburn, WAAC, A.P.O.S.17, BEF, France. I know that she was in Etaples for part of 1918 at least. Can anyone point me in the direction of any starting points? I'm trying to find out anything about her, eg what did she do in Etaples, when did she go out there etc..are there any sources about Etaples, I know there was a hospital there. Sue Light Posted 16 October , 2006 Share Posted 16 October , 2006 Sue Luckily not so elusive, as her service record is one of the few that survives, and is available to download from the National Archives for £3.50 - and there looks as though there's a lot of it - more than 60 pages. Lucky you! Lucy Milburn, born Badminton, 3rd March 1894 Lucy Milburn Once you've got that, it will open the door for a lot more questions, I'm sure.
