squirrel Posted 13 October , 2006 Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Roger, nice paint job; how do you do the barbed wire? I take it the corkscrew stake is from a paperclip?
Owen D Posted 13 October , 2006 Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Is barbed wire etched brass?
roger Posted 13 October , 2006 Author Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Cheers Squirrel, the stake is made from wire, I did think of using a paper clip but couldn't find one Nor could I find a pencil sharpener, the metal parts of the rifle barrel have a dusting of graphite powder formed by rubbing a pencil on emery cloth and painting it on the rifle metal. The barbed wire is commercially available photo etched brass, from Poland. Your making me give away my secrets Roger. Owen, you asked the question while i was typing it ! shaymen Posted 13 October , 2006 Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Roger Great detail - your usual superb standard. Is this one smaller than your previous figures ? Glyn
roger Posted 13 October , 2006 Author Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Cheers fella's, yes Glyn it is smaller. I'm glad I didn't have to paint numbers on the shoulder straps. However i was thinking of adding a Gibraltar cuff title to a figure as a bit of a tribute to Ernst Junger's Hanoverians but this wasn't it. Roger.
