Remembered Today:

Badges pinback buttons etc for Military mental war asylum personnel

Hello again. I have seen some enamel badges for a few British military hospitals but I have never seen any for the war asylums (eg. Napsbury, Lord Derby,...). Does anyone know if any of the war asylums, military mental hospitals, convalescent homes produced such enamel badges, pinback buttons, flag day ephemera etc....? I know that recently some nice flag pins for such were advertised but none of these were for the military mental hospitals/asylums. Can someone help out perhaps with a detailed list(s) of same from various public and/or private collections? Thanks,

John

Uhm (cough, cough!) - NO replies? Surely some if not many hospitals must have had such badges being on the home front, employing many women, etc.... I think I did see a few for some British hospitals in England but would like to know more and of course particular hospitals that looked after the 'shell shocked'. Thanks!

Well as a 2nd Lieutenant I would hope that the other ranks would pull behind (or is that in front of)me!

Come on lads (and lassies)! Surely someone can send in some scans or references to these hospital badges etc...!
