sotonmate Posted 9 October , 2006 Share Posted 9 October , 2006 David Whilst researching Thorneycroft for the Netley/Hyderabad thread I looked in Lloyd's Register for a few years from 1912 to 1919,in both Steamer and Sailing vessel and found no sign of Vera Elizabeth. Malcolm Posted 9 October , 2006 Share Posted 9 October , 2006 Dittmar and Colledge, British Warships 1914-1919 shows VERA ELIZABETH as a Q Ship , a schooner from Granton ( near Edinburgh) also known as ALMA, requisitioned 21/9/1917 to 29/4/1918.
