Trebrys Posted 6 October , 2006 Share Posted 6 October , 2006 2nd Lt Iorwerth ap Roland Owen was shot down and killed on May 7 1917 by Karl Allmenroder of Jasta 11 and later interred at St. Catherine's British Military Cemetery just to the north of Arras. Would anyone have any ideas as to how I can acquire a photo of his grave.....or even the pilot himself? Would there be any squadron photos of the period? I have a photo of his memorial at Anfield Cemetery in Liverpool. Any advice would be gratefully received! Trebrys.
Myrtle Posted 6 October , 2006 Share Posted 6 October , 2006 Trebrys As Iorwerth's father Rowland was a physician/surgeon it would be worth checking the local papers for Hollyhead, Anglesey,(his father's home town) and for Seaforth in Lancashire, where the family lived in 1901.
