Can anyone work out what the word is written next to no.5 for occupation, on this Attestation Sheet.

could be 'shopman' worked in engineering workshop. was common name for railway workshopmen until at least early 80's.

Snr foreman, ie Senior Foreman.

Shaftman! any coalmines around the area.

Enlistment date was 1888. From Shrule, Ballymahon, Co. Longford Ireland a very rural setting and he was 18.
