Hello,

Does anyone have a copy of the CEF - Roll of honour. If so can they provide the detail of the folowing casualty please;

Name: ROBERTSON, GEORGE

Initials: G

Nationality: Canadian

Rank: Private

Regiment: Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regt.)

Unit Text: 13th Bn.

Age: 38

Date of Death: 16/04/1917

Service No: 24646

Additional information: Son of Sophia Robertson, of 2, Nairne Place, 54, Seafield Rd., Dundee, Scotland, and the late David Sinclair Robertson.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Cemetery: VIMY MEMORIAL

His Attestation papers are here. It does not appear that he had any awards. I can check the cause of death when I get home.

Thanks Marc. Yes, I have viewed his attestation papers online.

I thought he may have been KIA at Vimy Ridge but most dates for this engagement stop short of the 16th, when he died.

I was just really trying to firm up on this.

Yes, he's on page 644 of the C.E.F. Roll of Honour = 24646 Pte Robertson, George - 13th Bn - Apr 16/17 - MR 23 - Age 38, KIA.

I did a quick look through the Regimental History, but his name didn't pop out at me.
