Dolphin Posted 20 September , 2006 Share Posted 20 September , 2006 Tony No 102 Sqn RFC/RAF was a night bomber unit equipped with the FE 2b, which arrived on the Western Front in September 1917 and operated from various bases. A 2Lt Day in No 101 Sqn, engaged in duties similar to No 102 Sqn, was mentioned in RAF Communiqué No 3 for action on 19 April 1918 when he crossed the lines and bombed his objective, despite a failing engine. His engine stopped twice on the way home, but he managed to return to his aerodrome. Could he be your man? Gareth
