mhifle Posted 16 September , 2006 Share Posted 16 September , 2006 I have these two SWB MIC,s for which the Badges appear to have been lost and returned. Was this common practice for lost SWB,s to be returned to the Police? Can anyone make out the complete comments under "Action taken" for these two cards? Thanks Mark

welshdoc Posted 16 September , 2006 Share Posted 16 September , 2006 Im not sure if it was common practice to hand in SWB to police but in more honest days it would make sence, also Im sure I read somewhere that it was illegal to wear these badges or the on active war service badges if not entitled. Whether it was a requirment to hand in such items may even have been the case . I presume from the MICs they were returned to the owners.

HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 16 September , 2006 Share Posted 16 September , 2006 County Constabulary? County Council?? Stoke?? They must have found their way back to their recipients if you have them today! There were fines & punishments for the illegal wearing & seeking any benefit from the wearing of these Badges
