Armoured Farmer Posted 21 September , 2006 Share Posted 21 September , 2006 I assume that he served with the Middlesex Regiment before serving overseas as the number 8868 and Middlesex does not appear on the MIC search. Soldiers' Died does tell us he was boen in London, enlisted Stratford London and lived in Camberwell, so Middlesex Regt makes sense. Whether this is pre-war is a poser. There are no clues from the CWGC as to his age. I suspect that the only way to get a definite answer would to find his records if they survive.
