He trained at the Ruffy-Bauman School at Hendon where he was awarded the R Aero Cert No 3613 on 21st Sept 1916. He was a Flight Sub Lt by 05Dec1917 (no idea why the gap) He was at Cranwell in September to December 1917. Became a PoW when shot down and was repatriated 18th December 1918. Hope this helps.
