bigronhartley Posted 14 September , 2006 Share Posted 14 September , 2006 Hello, I would be most grateful for any information relating to George Simon Merceron BURTON, who was gazetted to The Black Watch from Cheltenham OTC. He was twice wounded and awarded the Military Cross in the Great War and continued to serve in various capacities until the 1950s. He died in London on 18.12.1969. I would appreciate help in finding any entries in the London Gazette or The Times regarding his career progress, MC or Obituary. Many thanks in advance.
