Hello Chris

As you may have already guessed, Hurr was a victim of the Spanish influenza.

All best

He was in the Trawler Service: copeis of his RNR service cards are on microfische at Kew, in BT 377/7 and these are filed in service number order. His medals will be listed on the medal roll ADM 171/122 this is a microfilm, if he qualified for the Merchant Marine War Medal, the card index for that is on fische in BT 351.

Chris,

I can add something on COMRADE's service:

She was escorting the british S/S ANHUI from Famagusta to Port Said when this steamer was torpedoed by the austrian U 27 on 12.08.1918 and finished off on the moring of 13.08.

COMRADE fired 12 shots against U 27 which dived, than rescued the survivors.
