Thanks guys,

But wasn,t there a Royal Indian Army Service Corps at the time? I know that

TS. was a prefix for Transport Specials - Army Service Corps specialists .

Mark

Rank would appear to be Driver

I was wondering if he was one of the 330 London motor bus drivers complete with buses who were commandeered to help with the war effort who were initially sent to France and Belgiumat the start of the war.

My Grandfather was also a driver in the ASC. He was attached to 1st Meerut Division of the Indian Corps and he also entered france on 20/9/14. Coincidently the same day his future Brother in law was Killed. (see signature)

The prefix on his army no. is T which I think referred to horse driven transport.

As you can see there are a few similarites.
