I will be at High Wood and Caterpillar Valley on 15.09.2006,would any Forum Members happen to know if there is a Memorial Service taking place that Day,near either of these locations ?

Yes, there's a NZ service at the NZ memorial and a brief tour of the battlefield concerning that country. It will be followed by a civic reception in Longueval. Not sure of times as yet, but will advise, probably today.

Thanks for that,i am taking my Mum to visit Her Fathers Brothers Grave at Catepillar Valley Mil Cem,Mum is a Tad Frail,so i dont think,that She will be able to do the Battlefield Tour.Of particular interest to our NZ Friends there is an underage NZ buried in Caterpillar Valley Mil Cem...one Pte Horace Twigger,age 16.Look forward to recieving further information. :D

The 19th London Regiment OCA is holding a wreathlaying at about 4.45 pm on the 15th in London Cemetery.

The main London Regiment commemoration is happening on the Sunday morning, 17th:

9.45 am wreathlaying at 47 Div memorial at Martinpuich

10.30 am form up at London Cemetery High Wood for march to 47 Div memorial

11.00 am service at 47 div memorial at High Wood

This will be followed by a vin d'honneur in Longueval mairie.

Hope to see a few pals there.
