Hello,

Apologies if this has been answered on another thread or if it is too obvious!

However, can anyone tell me if an MIC will always show MM entitlement thereon?

Thanks,

Mark

Usually there is a seperate Card, normally only forename initial is given,so best searched for by surname & number alone

The award of an MM (or even a VC) was irrelevant to the award of the campaign medals, so would only be added if the compiler had all the relevant information with him. Sometimes 1914, 1914-15 Star and VM/BWM info appears on separate cards, so it is little wonder that some other awards did not appear.

The campaign card would not give the details on the separate card mentioned by "HB" above, in any case.

In summary: Usually, bot not always.

Steve.

I pulled some VC winners MIC once - about 1 in 3 hand the VC annoted somewhere on the card

Never seen a MM mentioned on the MIC for the campaign medals
