john-g Posted 1 September , 2006 Share Posted 1 September , 2006 Hi, I am researching 66 Squadron RFC. In late 1918 early 1919, 66 squadron had a number of men pass through the squadron and I would like to know more about this. What were these men doing in Italy and attached(?) to the RAF. They include: 5890 Dyer A, 26348 Gee W, 35105 Pickerill Albert 21 Bn, 38415 Carroll R, and 47627 McLoughlin J. Any help with names and other details would be appreciated. john_g
John_Hartley Posted 1 September , 2006 Share Posted 1 September , 2006 John I'm afraid I havnt got an answer as to why they were attached. But 21/Manc was in Italy until September 1918. Perhaps they had been identified as having particular skills more useful to the RAF at that point in the War? John
