the gunners dream Posted 1 September , 2006 Share Posted 1 September , 2006 Hi All, I saw this link and this looks to be a lot better than the old N&MP CD Rom from the Imperial War Museum. I always found that archive somewhat lacking in content. This looks really promising with its GPS facility and the ability to go 3D in order to look at the terrain. See this link: http://www.smithmaps.fsnet.co.uk/indexmap.htm Steve

ianw Posted 1 September , 2006 Share Posted 1 September , 2006 There is another active thread on this and Guy is a member of this Forum. I agree it does look spectacular and hope to see it working on the Somme in a field test in September.
Smithmaps Posted 1 September , 2006 Share Posted 1 September , 2006 (edited) Except Guy can't say anything about it without getting a slap and tickle from the very efficient forum administrators! [Good - it's working! Chris] But you can all say anything you want! I know, I know, you could all have done better, with a roll of sticky backed plastic and some poster paints!
