suzie.bourne Posted 31 August , 2006 Share Posted 31 August , 2006 Here is a close up of Great Uncle's cap badge .... I couldn't get a better resolution with the whole photo I'm afraid!! For some reason I just can't get it any sharper!
Rob B Posted 31 August , 2006 Share Posted 31 August , 2006 I think this could be a South Wales Borderers Badge. Rob
Fiona F Posted 17 April , 2007 Share Posted 17 April , 2007 Just looking through the collection of cap badges from my Great-Grandfather, it doesn't look like the South Wales Borderers badge. The Borderers badge has a gap between the sphinx and the top of the wreath, whereas in your photo it appears to be joined. I have a badge here that look more likely: The Princess of Wales's own Yorkshire I hope this helps.

Jim Strawbridge Posted 17 April , 2007 Share Posted 17 April , 2007 If you can give us his name it might me unusual enough to find his Medal Information Card thereby narrowing the search down to two or three regiments.
