marc glorieux Posted 30 August , 2006 Share Posted 30 August , 2006 Yep, Someone can tell me where I can find or consult a unit / Batalion history for the period 04 may 1917 till 21 june 1917. It concerns the 1° Kompagnie Landsturm-Infanterie-Batalion Marburg which took also part of the Kommandatur Courtrai (now Kortrijk) in Flanders. I am on the rseearch for Gefreiter Werner, murdered in the night of 04 to 5 may 1917. The murderers are executed on 21 june 1917. Any information or hints are welcome Thanks in advance Marc
roel22 Posted 30 August , 2006 Share Posted 30 August , 2006 Try the Bibliothek der Bundeswehr in Strausberg, Berlin. http://www.bundeswehr.de/portal/a/bwde/kcx...E%2Fcontent.jsp They hold (regimental) histories of many units. In case you don't live near Berlin (like me), I believe they send books to libraries (abroad) for a small fee. Good luck Roel
